The history of Radio Yungas does not begin in 1978, the year of its official opening. Before this year, the station has written several pages in its history. In 1970 the Augustinian Fathers Jaime Postma, Gerardo Lelien, Juan José Vrijsen, Nicolas Beumen and David Boing mature the idea of having a radio for Los Yungas, with the purpose of facilitating the work of catechesis that they carried out, since the decade of the thirty.
