The Fujairah Statistics Center at the Ruler's Court was established in the Government of Fujairah in accordance with Resolution No. (1) for the year 1997 issued by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, under the name of "Statistics and Planning Department".
In 2009, Emiri Decree No. (9) of 2009 was issued, according to which the administration was transferred to the Fujairah Statistics Center and became the independent legal entity and full legal capacity to conduct business and legal actions, and it is the authority responsible for preparing the statistical system in the emirate and the official source of statistics and information in it.
The Center also publishes and distributes the annual statistical book and e-book. To date, 19 books have been distributed to the federal and local authorities, the private sector and embassies.
The center conducts statistical surveys at the emirate level in accordance with international standards and classifications. The center cooperates and exchanges information with the scientific authorities and institutes working in the field of statistics. The Center takes into account the confidentiality and privacy of individuals in publishing the statistical information collected by the Center.
