I developed this sensational learning app for - and together with my son so that he can learn everything worth knowing about Germany, its federal states and regions in 5th grade.
GERMANY MASTER
With this entertaining and educational app, basic knowledge about Germany is trained in a playful way. Whether state capitals or coat of arms - the different areas can be practiced as desired. Either as a pure assignment of the capitals to the right federal state or as a concentration-increasing placement game in which the right pairs have to be found.
DEUTSCHLAND MEISTERN is divided into several exercises that build on one another, so that the most important information can be practiced in the first steps, assigned later and finally played with the learned information. In the settings you can of course choose which of the 16 federal states should be practiced - and whether the capital or the coat of arms should be learned (keyword: fun with coat of arms!).
Another part, which we have named WISSEN, contains various additional information about the 16 individual federal states and Germany itself. This information is divided into small groups and can be hidden for learning:

• State capital
• Official language & dialects
• coat of arms
• Map
• Surface
• Population
• population density
• Rivers (the 3 longest)
• Landmarks (the 3 most famous)
• People
• National anthem or national anthem can be heard OPTIONAL via YouTube video within the app. However, this function must first be enabled by the parents in the settings!
In a first step, a small federal state puzzle can be used to put Germany together to learn the rough position of the individual countries. In the second step FINDEN, the location, position and size of the federal states - in addition from Germany's 9 neighboring countries, Germany's capitals, mountains and waters, etc. - are queried on the map.
In the TOP 5 the extremes of Germany are shown and queried - as if there were:
- The largest federal states
- The smallest federal states
- The most inhabitants
- Few residents
- The highest population density
- The lowest population density
- The largest lakes
- Has most lakes
- The deepest lakes
- The highest mountains in Germany
- The highest mountains in the most mountainous states
- The highest places in the flattest federal states
- The largest islands
- Has most forest areas
- The longest rivers
- Germany has the longest borders to ...
- Germany has the shortest borders to ...
- Extreme: maximum height / minimum height / longest dimension / widest dimension / northernmost, southernmost, westernmost, easternmost point
LANDSCAPES show the 4 large landscapes of Germany, as well as those of the individual federal states.
In the QUIZ, 15 questions are asked in three difficulty groups about all the content learned so far. As in a well-known guessing game, there are 3 jokers [50:50, telephone & audience].

Last but not least, you can view the HISTORY or the change in Germany from 843 to the present in 30 snapshots on a map.
