Physical activity is always important. In pregnancy, in the absence of contraindications, properly performed physical activity has favorable effects on the mother and the product of conception, as well as improving the subjective well-being of the woman.
"MyGDMoving" is an app created in collaboration by the Coordination Committees of the SID-AMD inter-association Study Groups "Diabetes and pregnancy" and "Diabetes and physical activity". The application was designed for pregnant women with diabetes to illustrate the benefits associated with appropriate physical activity (in terms of frequency, duration, intensity and type) during the pregnancy period. The app also contains interactive parts, which require the user to enter data relating to their condition (level of training, heart rate at rest, etc.). It also contains questionnaires related to physical activity during pregnancy (IPAQ questionnaire - International Physical Activity Questionnaire). All information, if desired and deemed appropriate, may be shared with the attending diabetologist.
The application also contains a section dedicated to health personnel that can find useful information and advice for patients, in line with the most up-to-date national and international guidelines.
