In the ABC club, Diamantjakten, you can practice word decoding, word knowledge, language learning and reading speed. Some children probably recognize the pictures and exercises from school. The ABC club is a well-spread teaching aid in learning to read and write for preschool class–grade 3.
The ABC club consists of the children Asta, Bea and Cesar. In the app, they ask the player for help in collecting diamonds. The diamonds the player collects are exchanged for puzzle pieces needed to solve the puzzle in the club room.
The app is divided into five exercise types with five levels that increase in progression.
The app contains:
- Listen & read. Word decoding is practiced here. The child listens, reads and chooses the correct words.
- Find the word. Synonyms, antonyms and compound words are practiced here.
- Vowel & consonant. Here you practice distinguishing vowels from consonants.
- Word classes. Here, word comprehension and the word classes adjectives, nouns and verbs are trained.
- Word hunt. Word comprehension and reading speed are trained here.
