To support our Adviser Cloud software customers using PWA-based point-of-sale applications, we have created Adviser Printer as an innovative technology that allows document printing technology completely independent of the device that supports HTTP requests. They are used in web-based applications in the cloud.
It is possible to print receipts, including text and image data in the STAR MICRONICS printers with Bluetooth through any Android compatible device.
Printing from Adviser Printer can be done in several ways. The options available vary slightly depending on the operating system used (Android or iOS).
You can print sales documents (Orders, delivery notes, invoices, collections) as well as the various reports provided by our software.
There are two ways to print documents or reports:
1.) Text mode printing
2.) Graphic printing
Text mode printing:
Printing in text mode sends a series of characters directly to the printer, usually via a bluetooth connection. This system allows printing with most printers that have this type of connection. The main characteristic to keep in mind is that this type of printing does not allow to use different fonts, colors or graphics. The printing is done with the type of letter that the printer has established by default.
One of the printers most used in this type of printing is the veteran STAR DP8340.
One of the ways to print in text mode is by downloading the Adviser Cloud documents in json format.
Printing in graphic mode:
The printing in graphic mode allows to use all the characteristics of the printer in terms of colors, fonts and other related aspects.
Adviser Printer allows printing this type of graphic documents from a PDF format.
To take advantage of the characteristics of the printer, you must select the corresponding brand and model in the list of devices before printing.
