The Gopher Pothole Spotter gives pothole warnings (alerts) when approaching upcoming plotted pothole locations.
The Gopher Plotter feature allows user to make and store their own personal pothole markers on their device with easy push of a large on-screen button. There is no limit to the number of plots that can be stored and plots can be deleted/managed as necessary (plots can be displayed on maps and plots corresponding to fixed potholes can be deleted in the Manage Plots screen).
You can also easily share your plots (one at a time or all of them at once) with friends or with other Gopher users in your area. You can download plots from a known user or, with the touch of a map, plots can also be downloaded from any region (local or remote) where Gopher users have uploaded them for sharing. An internet connection (WIFI or data) is only required for plot sharing and downloading - once plots are on your own device, Gopher relies only on location information to give alerts (does not require an internet connection!).
When enabled, the Gopher Spotter feature provides audible warning when approaching a pothole plot location. Gopher will tell you the number of upcoming plots. The Spotter is direction-of-travel sensitive so it won't alert to plots in the opposite direction of travel as when the plot was made (so you don't get alerts for potholes plotted on the opposite side of the road). The Spotter can be set to Highway or City/Town mode which affects the alert distance (based on speed of travel).
Gopher also allows the user to set other preferences (such as turning on the Spotter automatically when the App is started) in the "Customize" screen. Gopher also comes with a "User Statistics" screen which keeps track of the number of pothole plots and alerts. It also has a "TidyUp" feature which removes unintended duplicate plots.
With a one time purchase, you get unlimited use of the Plotter and Spotter and all other features except plot sharing and downloading, which are subject to yearly renewal. This is an add-free version.
