Canto do Golinha

The swallow is a passerine bird of the Thraupidae family. It is also known as brejal, patativa (Pernambuco, Ceará), golinho or golado (Rio Grande do Norte, Ceará, Paraíba, Piauí), collar-throat-white and collar. Like all other members of the genus Sporophila, it can be called “papa-grass” accompanied by some other adjective. Sporo is seed and phila comes from phyllo, which means affinity. They would really be those “who have an affinity with seeds” or “grass-eaters”.
