About TomTortuga

Play and learn by playing with robotic learning, this application connects via Bluetooth with our robot Tom Tortuga.

With the application you can give orders of movements to the Tom Tortuga robot the possible orders are forward, backward, left, right, with which the robot can move through different scenarios that arise, it will help improve the sense of orientation, logical sense , space and give a good time of fun to all members.

To use this application follow these steps:

- Enter the application
- Allows the app to activate the device’s Bluetooth
- Press Connect in the upper left
- Search for the device named Tom Tortuga and selected.
- Ready use the controls on the screen to select the commands to send to your robot turtle.

Note: You must have Tom Tortuga on using the switch at the bottom.

The application is composed of:

MAIN SCREEN
Upon entering our application you will find the main screen where the direction, cleaning and start the movement commands are located, which are transmitted via Bluetooth to our robot

CONNECT
If you press "Connect" on the main screen you will start to list the nearby Bluetooth devices, select the one with the name Tom Tortuga and this will link the application to your Turtle robot

SET UP
By pressing "Configure" you can access commands to adjust or align the motion motors of our robot and you can also estimate the travel time in each movement.
To configure our robot you must first connect it using the "Connect" button after this enter the "Configure" menu and press "Read Data", this brings back the current configuration of our robot. After this you should only use the arrows to increase or decrease the values.


This application together with the robot Tom Tortuga give learning tools in addition to strengthening motor skills, giving fundamentals to start in the world of programming as it will work with logical steps, which leads to the ability to identify tracking patterns, loops and opt for the most optimal solution.
