EZ Notes is an app developed by a new and learning avid beginner programmer. Students will no longer have to fear about missing something from a class or falling behind. All students may interpret notes differently, and this app allows students to expose themselves to all different forms of note taking techniques, and alongside that they stay updated with their classes! The app is currently in an Alpha stage, and many things are subject to change as the app is updated. The app allows people to log-in as a student or an administrator. Students are able to select a note from their phone and submit it to the app. Not only can they submit notes, but they can choose to view notes from a series of classes that are pre-added to the app!
What is the construction of the app you may ask?
The app right now uses communication between a tiny web database(TinywebDB) and a cloud server that is responsible for storing images. Students have no access to these databases so none of these files can be modified by any students. This help prevent malicious actions and keeps things civil, and appropriate for school. Administrators have full access to all students that are currently enrolled into the app and files in the web databases. Any file added to the database is tagged with user’s username, and thus no files can be send anonymously. Not only can administrators modify files in the web databases but they can also remove users. This allows for complete control and prevents issues, like cheating for tests.
What are some plans for the future?
Currently there’s no individualization for schools. Everything at the moment is stored together and there’s no separation. The main goal for the future is to individualize schools, allow logins for students to assign themselves to said schools, and greater customization will be added. Log-in parameter security is also set to be the highest priority of improvements, as thereof it is lacking.
