The Ilha Grande Ecomuseum is an extension program linked to the Cultural Department of the Sub-Rectory of Extension and Culture of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Located in Vila Dois Rios, it is divided into four basic units: Multimedia Center, Prison Museum, Environment Museum and Botanical Park that work in an integrated manner with the environment and the community.
