Sadupayog, an online system for utilization of surplus materials is one such initiative taken in BHEL to categorise, identify and divert Surplus material lying at various project sites and manufacturing units.
Users can add scrap items by using Sadupayog Scrap App, the fields to be entered are BHEL Unit, scrap category, brief description. Users have the provision to update the progress of scrap disposal using update status functionality. Location of Item is automatically picked up using location sensor, and latest photographs of scrap items can be clicked using a mobile camera.
Status report shows a glimpse of unit wise and category wise requests raised.
