This is a simple application to calculate the physical and performance characteristics of an electrostatic precipitator. Originally written to replace in house calculations completed on spreadsheets for many years, the application has now been enhanced for wider use.
All of the current efficiency calculations are based on the Deutsch-Anderson equation. The application can calculate efficiency, or it can back calculate to obtain apparent migration velocity or gas flow.
If the inlet dust loading is known, the outlet loading will be calculated in the same units.
User settings can be adjusted to use Metric or U.S. standard units. The units for the migration velocity can be adjusted separately so that known values in either standard can be interchanged.
