The u:cloud service offers free cloud storage space for staff of the University of Vienna and synchronises files on several devices such as laptops, mobile phones and tablets. u:cloud is an open-source and safe alternative to well-known cloud storage services – because your data remain on the servers of the University of Vienna.
The u:cloud app enables you to do the following (and more):
• upload of files to u:cloud
• download of files from u:cloud
• automatic synchronisation of files
• u:cloud can also be accessed via https://ucloud.univie.ac.at/
The advantages of u:cloud:
Your data are not entrusted to third parties, but are stored on the University of Vienna’s servers and are protected from undesired access.
The software on which u:cloud is based runs on the University’s servers.
Staff of the University of Vienna receive 5 GB storage space free of charge.
The u:cloud service is continuously being improved – help us by sending your feedback to helpdesk.zid@univie.ac.at.
