About Dance Health Alliance
Dance Health Alliance is a Not-For-Profit organisation, specializing in dance and movement classes specifically designed for people living with; movement limitations such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease and Arthritis, cognitive impairment such as Dementia and mental health conditions such as Depression and Anxiety. Our aim is to bring the dance experience into the homes of vulnerable people who are experiencing social and physical isolation during the pandemic and in the recovery months ahead. Giving them the opportunity to exercise body mind and mood to increase mental well being. The aim is that participants with physical or cognitive conditions are given the opportunity to participate in a fun and active program from the safety of their own homes and Care Facilities. Those experiencing social isolation or mental health conditions are able to reconnect with others and through exercise, produce dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin which naturally improves their mood. It is not restricted as to who is invited to participate in classes - our classes are strictly inclusive with no prerequisites or expectations.
