The string instruments of MANdolinMAN, together with the electronics of Ansatz Der Maschine (Mathijs Bertel), interweave musical heritage from the Meetjesland into cinematic and haunting sound fragments. The ancient landscape of the Meetjesland with its mysteries and secrets is brought back to life through its music and its stories told by Villa Katz. They are inspired by music manuscripts and old songbooks from the Meetjesland, and turned the whole thing into a fascinating bike ride through this mystical region.
