La Zinne

The Zinne is a citizen experience which aims to put into circulation and maintain a local currency complementary to the euro, legally recognized as a "local economy support voucher", in the Brussels region.

Goals
By creating this currency, we are pursuing the following objectives:
- Strengthen and promote short circuits by networking the various players - producers, traders, service providers, consumers
- Support the development of an economic activity rooted in the territory and its local community, to which it brings its benefits and from which it improves the well-being
- Support activities that recognize and respect the limits of the planet, do not exhaust its resources and contribute to the improvement of ecosystems
- Strengthen links between residents through citizen participation which promotes the emergence of a more resilient - that is to say, able to overcome moments of uncertainty - and happier community

Values
To best achieve these objectives "I" team works hand in hand around common values:
- Cooperation between network actors in a spirit of openness and solidarity
- Respect for people and their environment
Democratic management of the currency, based on governance principles that allow everyone to express themselves

We will also be attentive to:
- Fight for social justice, the reduction of inequalities, by cultivating respect for oneself and for others
- Communicate transparently on the functioning of our currency in order to promote the participation of all
