Sofia Boards Voice is an application designed specifically for the blind and visually impaired people in order to facilitate their orientation in the urban environment in the use of public transport. The functionalities of the application allow in within the range of information boards, the Sofia city transport, consumer voice to be informed of the number of the vehicle and the time interval in which it is expected arrival. Useful information users of the application receive information from voice boards of Sofia city transport, whose sound is amplified automatically upon activation of the application.
Positioning is performed by active GPS connection, which use voice prompts.
Voice functions are performed by the selected text-to-speech of the device and only in Bulgarian.
The application was developed with the assistance of the "Union of the Blind in Bulgaria" and "Urban Mobility Centre EAD", and intended for the blind and visually impaired people.
