LuPE Lehr- und Praxis-App

The LuPE app is aimed at budding early childhood education professionals. In the app, mathematical phenomena in day-to-day day-to-day daycare are made visible and skills for professional educational support are conveyed in a playful way. On the basis of five illustrated game situations by children, prospective educators can train to put on "mathematical" glasses, i.e. Recognizing mathematical phenomena in children's play situations and accompanying children, exploring and deepening them through play. The app thus offers access to subject-specific and subject-didactic knowledge in early mathematical education, to the design of so-called "offers" for early MINT education and to educational and educational interactions with children.
The app was created as part of the LuPE - teaching and practical material for educator training project, which ran at the German Youth Institute from 2014 to 2020 and was initiated and funded by the Deutsche Telekom Foundation.
