Faithful to the institution that maintains it - Congregation of Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus - it seeks to be the trainer of good and competent citizens and authentic Christians in building the Kingdom of God.
It started like this:
The fact that there is no elementary school in Paratibe made Father Geraldo Van Geel promise to build a school. That was 1966. It took ... But he was able to keep his word.
In 1977, the school was behind the Church of Our Lady of Fatima. The school had in its structure four (4) classrooms, the sacristy was the secretary, the room of the Priest: The Board.
It had all the support of the industries and worked with the famous "Education Salary". The direction was from Father Geraldo who hand-picked the team that supported him. Initially, the school functioned as an annex of Colégio São José, from Abreu e Lima, whose vigorous director was Professor Barros.
After a few months the Parish School took off on its own and began to grow. Through the industries it was reaching together to the City Hall the donation of an annexed land, where were built more 04 (four) classrooms and a secretary. The space next to the church became a library, a play area and an art room. Subsequently, the play area was transformed into a classroom. The principals succeeded one another and brought the school to a fame never seen before. The Parish School was synonymous with discipline and good formation.
Father Antonio Snijders had a broad vision of the future and knew that after all, the school facility was an improvisation. Began to acquire land, aiming for a new school.
This dream came true when the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus bought good land to build the new Parish School. It was what we are seeing today.
