The Confederation of Santas Casas and Philanthropic Hospitals (CMB) is a non-profit or economic association, founded on November 10, 1963. Headquartered in Brasilia, the entity is an organ of union, integration and representation of the Federations of Misericórdias established in the respective States, as well as the Santas Casas, Entities and Charitable Hospitals. Currently, the CMB is composed of 16 State Federations, and represents 2,172 nonprofit hospitals across the country, of which 1,704 serve the Unified Health System (SUS).
