With headquarters in Betim and Belo Horizonte, the history of Liberdade FM began in June 1982 with the sale of Radio Capela Nova of Betim / MG, being acquired at the time by the current owners of Rede Planeta de Comunicações.
A pioneer in Brazil for its boldness, execution and dissemination of country music, Liberdade FM surprised the mining market by taking the lead in 1999, becoming a successful case in Brazil. Since then, Liberdade FM has literally given wings to freedom within the backcountry segment and each year has gained a generation of new followers of country music.
Currently the station reaches 1.4 million different listeners per month.
