The Association of Friends of Oncology - AMO is a non-governmental, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide social and health assistance to people in need with cancer.
Founded in Aracaju, on November 21, 1996, the association was initially formed by volunteers and health professionals who worked at the oncology center of the Hospital de Cirurgia.
Thousands of families have already been welcomed in the fight against cancer. Today, the Association counts more than four thousand people with cancer welcomed and benefited. In general, they are people from all corners of our state and also from Bahia, Alagoas and Pernambuco.
Average new registrations: each month, about 30 people are welcomed with assistance for cancer treatment.
