Created in 1991, the Institute of Childhood Cancer is a non-profit organization that works to increase the chances of cure for childhood cancer.
Reference in the care of children and adolescents with cancer provides all the necessary help for the continuity of treatment. Through the ICI, the patients count on pedagogical, psychological, nutritional, dental and special examinations. Their families also receive assistance assistance with clothing, shoes and food aid.
ICI also develops scientific research projects dedicated to the advancement of new treatments for childhood and child cancer. ICI provides 20 thousand services per year in the various areas of multidisciplinary care teams and more than 3 thousand children and adolescents have been assisted by the institution since its foundation.
