Like a birth certificate, on October 17, 1977, the Ministry of Communications granted the grant for the operation of Rádio Princesa Serrana de Timbaúba. Authorization was granted and signed by the then President of the Republic Ernesto Geisel.
In this way, the first stage of a long success story was won, despite the fierce opposition of some citizens and the disbelief of others.
In the second stage, Radio Princesa Serrana de Timbaúba took shape until in the last months of the old years of 1979, its powerful transmitter and its imposing antenna, which appeared colossal on the horizon, made its first transmission. This was the source of the most powerful broadcaster in the interior of Pernambuco, taking Timbaúba through radio waves throughout the North and South Forest Zone, Agreste, Metropolitan Region of Recife, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte, Ceará, etc.
Since then, it has been many successful years spanning 3 decades, with all its cultural, social and political changes, always bringing the best of music and the news that made the history of Brazil and the world.
Today Radio Princesa Serrana de Timbaúba, as always following the development, is on course to take another new step always towards the future: very soon we will start transmitting on the FM frequency.
