We are witnesses of a technological revolution. In our current society, many were born in an analog world and are slowly becoming digital beings. Others are already "digital beings" since their birth. This allows us, on the one hand, to witness new forms of business, developments in the medical field, in administration, among other areas of knowledge. On the other hand, we found that not all people are able to disconnect from this digital world in order to live the real world. In this sense, the internet and especially the smartphone are addictive technologies
The first use of MCMV was as a data collection tool for Rafael Amorim's Master's Dissertation. We sought to find out what the smartphone addiction behavior of university students from Public Institutions of Higher Education (IPES) in Brazil.
Currently (v3.0 +), to meet the research of Master's Student Bruno Maron Neves, we seek to “assess the pattern of use of the smartphone to investigate its possible consequences. The role of this application is precisely to "measure" this pattern of use.
The application was specially developed to study and collect, anonymously, the usage habits of the respondents and, together with a smartphone dependency questionnaire and a socioeconomic questionnaire, we will verify how the profile variables present themselves at the level of dependence on participants' smartphone
In addition to contributing to the subject, this is one of the first jobs to study the user on a daily basis and compare the results of the smartphone dependency test with the usage habits, collected via the application.
The initial research is registered and approved by the Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Pampa - Unipampa, and registered in the Brazil Platform of the Ministry of Health - CAAE nº 16393719.7.0000.5323.
