"In April 1952 the Baptist work began in Vila Antonieta, subdistrict of Tatuapé. On the Occasion, meetings were held in a small hall on Rua Petrobrás, number 83 in Vila Antonieta. his goal achieved, and became a congregation of the Baptist Church in New Jerusalem in December 1960.
At the time, Pastor Alcides Franco, pastor of that church, was in charge. This beloved pastor and the director of the congregation began to make preparations for the organization of the Evangelical Baptist Church in Vila Antonieta, which took place on September 12, 1964, when the church was organized with 41 members, with the participation of many guests.
Today we continue in faith to do the Lord's work. We have more than 300 members, and we have 10 ministries, including an institute, which we call "" Arnaldo Moraes de Miranda Institute "". In the latter, we focus our achievements in the area of social work, that is, adult literacy, theological school with a basic course in Theology I and II, dental practice, as well as distribution of basic food and clothing, seeking to meet the needs of our community and friends."
