The Vidas Secas Project was conceived and coordinated by the staff of the clinic of micturition dysfunctions of Complexo Hospital de Clínicas of the Federal University of Paraná.
The goal of "Dry Lives" is to empower the largest number of professionals to deal with problems of loss or urinary retention. In addition to educational and assistance activities for people who present these problems.
Clean intermittent catheterization is a way to empty the bladder when any clinical condition prevents it from happening spontaneously in the proper way. It prevents the urine residue that is trapped in the bladder causing problems like urinary tract infections and kidney dysfunction.
