The INFOSAR NEO application is the support system of the Airspace Control Department (DECEA) for the control of registration and use of 406 MHz beacons used in aircraft (ELT), vessels (EPIRB) or for personal use (PLB).
In the event of an accident, these beacons are activated and, through the COSPAS-SARSAT satellite system, issue an alert to the Brazilian Mission Control Center (BRMCC). search and rescue (SAR) is critical for potential survivors.
