How it all began…
In 1991, the idea of English language casinos was born. Alenka, our founder, prepared a plan, distributed leaflets in local schools and impatiently waited for the response. Since more than 800 children registered overnight, we decided to open a language school.
The language school, which initially presented itself under the name Zajček Ricky, initially organized English and Italian language games at primary schools, but later classes continued in its own premises in the center of Koper.
New programs, new plans
When we had fully developed the courses for children, we went one step further and started the first courses for adults at companies.
This is how Nista's team expanded and, in addition to our own teachers, we also welcomed teachers from abroad - native speakers.
Every year more and more local companies put their trust in us. Good word also spread to the Karst, and due to the high number of requests, we accepted a new challenge and added courses in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Greek, Croatian, Serbian, Macedonian, Hungarian, Arabic, Japanese, to English and Italian. Chinese and Slovenian for foreigners.
New look
We said goodbye to Zajček Ricky and moved to new premises in Šalara with the new name "Nista" and a new image. Alenka chose the name Nista based on the names of her children ("Ni" daughter Nika and "sta" son Stanko). The Nista language school offers language courses in all languages for children and adults of all ages. Our oldest student was 80 years old, and the youngest was only a year and a half old.
Cooperation with schools from abroad
Over the years, we have added translation and proofreading, providing language courses abroad, and studying and studying at prestigious schools abroad to our offer.
We regularly improve our knowledge and methods through training at various workshops at home and abroad. Every year we visit educational fairs abroad, where we meet and socialize with teachers and leaders of language schools.
We provide language programs of language schools abroad, which we have also visited and made sure of their quality. We regularly update our range of schools.

After thirty years of operation, Nista decided to change its appearance again. We refreshed Nista's colors, changed the logo and, as a result, the classrooms, in which the participants will feel more at home. We carefully select course programs, train teachers and update tools to make the course interesting and successful. Our success is also helped by the fact that Nista is a family business. The knowledge and wisdom of the founder Alenka are passed on to her son Stanko, who has been successfully managing Nista for several years. Our dream is that the current generation will be joined by new ones in the future and that Nista will continue to develop as a family business for a long time.
