Quadrix is a free messaging and video-conferencing app. It is open-source which means that anyone can inspect the code and participate in its development.
Quadrix uses a communication protocol called Matrix, which is also open-source, and is used by millions of people around the world. What is special about Matrix is that it is decentralized: Anyone can install a Matrix server at home to keep their messaging activities completely private. Matrix servers can also be federated, allowing users on different servers to communicate with each other.
No data collection - Quadrix does not collect any user information, messaging activities, IP addresses, server addresses, etc. Nothing at all.
Available for most operating systems - You can install Quadrix directly from the respective app stores on mobile phones, tablets and desktop computers.
No encryption support - Although the Matrix protocol supports the end-to-end encryption of messages, Quadrix has not yet implemented that part of the protocol.
