About Ukrainian borsch

Ukrainian borscht is considered to be the main and most traditional version of red beetroot soup. According to the classic recipe, grout is necessarily added to Ukrainian borsch - lard, crushed with boiled potatoes, onions, garlic, fresh herbs and spices.

Most often, borscht is cooked with beef. The secret to a great broth is meat on the bone. A properly cooked broth turns out to be rich, fragrant and transparent, it does not need to be additionally filtered.
