Atmosphere allows the user to make estimates on Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions derived from their productive activity. These emissions are expressed in units known as CO2 equivalent (CO2-eq), which measure the contaminating capacity of different GHGs resulting from a process or activity. The main GHGs generated by the dairy production are carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O); These are emitted by different sources such as animal (enteric fermentation and production of feces and urine), chemical or organic fertilization, the use of electricity and fossil fuels, and the burning of biomass.
