In this App you will find relevant information to plan your trip to the plain. It has recommended places that are currently developing tourism in the municipalities of San Luis de Palenque, Trinidad and Maní, where you can observe birds and nature in general. Many of these local people have been trained in the framework of this process with the Casanare Governorate.
It is part of the products of the project “Carry out ecotourism actions that allow the assessment of biodiversity in the local communities of the tourist environment of the municipality of San Luís de Palenque (Casanare), through the knowledge of wildlife and the training of actors associated to the local ecotourism chains ”of the Government of Casanare and executed by Cunaguaro Consultores Ltda.
There are biological and ecological information on 100 species of birds typical of the floodplains of the Colombian plains, especially associated with the territory of the municipality of San Luís de Palenque in the department of Casanare. From each of the described species you can find photographs, recordings of their songs, taxonomic classification (order, family and scientific name), common name, English name, etymology origin or meaning of their scientific name, general description of the species, habitat where it can be found, the places where they have been registered, type of feeding, behavior and reproduction, conservation status according to IUCN, sexual dimorphism if there are differences between males and females, and some curiosities of the species.
