This app covers the spectacular world of birds. They’re classified into almost 250 families and ultimately into roughly 10,000 species. Watch this stunning, $1, only ₹11 (INR), video with photos and learn to quickly identify key species. Also, see what attracts some birds to your backyard. This isn’t your grandfather’s birdwatching. It’s exciting and fun with a wide range of fast and slow-paced music tailored to the birds.

Backyard Birds - First we’ll start with birds which you can attract to your backyard with birdseed and water including Northern Cardinals, Blue Jays, finches and Woodpeckers, plus some of the thousands of species of song birds and elegant hummingbirds that flap their wings at over 80 times per second.

Birds in wetlands, lakes and the coasts - There are over 60 species of herons and they’re found around the world. Little Blue Herons nest in large colonies in trees. Unlike storks and cranes, herons usually retract their necks while they fly. The Audubon Society was created to protect birds and its symbol is the Great Egret. Egrets have stunning white plumage although some are red or blue. Egrets and herons are related species and share many characteristics such as a tall thin build. The majestic trumpeter swans can have a wingspan of up to 8 feet.

Birds of Prey - The Bald Eagle is America’s National bird. The symbol of America is powerful and impressive. They’re usually near bodies of water since they primarily hunt fish. And bald eagles’ wingspan can be over 7 feet. Vultures often wait along country roads looking for road kill so drive carefully. Hawks have excellent sight - over 6 times better than humans. They use their sharp claws to grab prey. Owls usually hunt at night. They have keen eyesight and the ability to hear small sounds. They fly silently towards their unsuspecting prey. Barn Owls have a unique heart shaped face and they’re found around the world.
