Guess Which Hand Challenge
Every game begins with the “Guess Which Hand” challenge, where one player hides a seed and the other player must try to guess which hand it is hidden in. If the player guesses correctly, they take the first turn, if they guess incorrectly the player hiding the seed takes the first turn.
The Board
- Each new game starts with four seeds in every cup.
- The game board consists of two rows of 6 cups (12 in total) and two capture pits.
- Each player owns the six cups/pits closest to them
- Each player owns the large cup/capture pit to the right/closest to them.
Different Names for Mancala:
Ayo, Wari, Ayo Olopon, Congkak, Oware, Mancala, Bao, Mancala Kalah, Kalaha, Awele, Awari, Ouri, J’odu.
