Gulliver Publishing has published a number of children’s books in thirty years. Then the Gulliverse was born. A modern world where Jonathan Swift’s ship’s doctor no longer sails the seas and orbits the land, but explores a new “digital continent” by surfing the infinity of the World Wide Web.
Today's young children are already born into the digital age. It is as natural for them to use the most modern devices - smartphone, tablet, laptop, computer - as it is to build a sand castle for previous generations. They no longer have a problem downloading and managing applications, navigating the touch screen.
What if the storybook didn’t just exist on paper, but could appeal to its little readers. And if it’s already digital, what if the reader could be an active part of the stories as well?
The Gulliverse offers such interactive digital publications. For the little ones, kind, instructive tales with exciting games, while for the older ones, interesting educational books with quiz questions and puzzles.
Digital interactive books not only evoke, entertain and teach the atmosphere of storybooks, but also contribute to learning about the world of informatics. Animations, narration, zooming, sounds, noises, interactions, and games help with comprehension while improving memory and motor skills.
Our first publications, The Crickets and the Ant, the Ludas Matyi, the Little Red Car and his friends, and Stephen the King, will soon be followed by more interactive digital tales and educational applications.
