WPAP is a portrait-style illustration of humans dominated by flat areas of the front color (known as rectangular photos), middle and rear to create dimensions, formed from imaginary lines firmly in the shape of the face, the position of facial elements and the proportions remain the same as the original portrait with a creative tracing process that is not subject to 100 percent of what is being traced.
Unique to the process of discovering this graphic illustration, in making illustrative drawings, Wheda with original photo reference with difficulty level is high, especially regarding the suitability of skin color and the fineness of scratches. To overcome this, he began to make stern design lines which were then filled with colors. It gets easier and the image is easily recognized as a who or what. Wedha initially did not suspect if the technique he created is worth the art, given the tekhik was done because at that time (around the 90's) the power of vision and accuracy has decreased due to the age factor.
Until finally there was a person named Gumelar, Chairman of Visual Communication Design Department of Multimedia Nusantara University who was amazed by the work of Wedha and strive to spread this art flow throughout Indonesia. As a result, in various cities, there is now an art community that is fond of WPAP techniques. The popularity of WPAP in Indonesia makes this technique known as the flow of wedhaism.
