mobile application that lets you view 3D sculptural cycle of Roman times found in the Archaeological Park Torreparedones (Baena, Córdoba), has been one of the results of the latest research conducted by the research team PAI HUM-882 Ancient Cities Andalucía University of Cordoba in collaboration with the CETEMET technology center.

The sculptural cycle consists of two dynastic groups from Torreparedones and that are currently part of the museum exhibition of Baena. The first was located on the north portico of the site and stored in the museum hall, part of it a toga, a female figure, a military sculpture and an ideal statue fragment (Hüftmantel). The other group, possibly from the temple or its vicinity, is exposed in the forecourt of the museum and comprises two male seated and one female representing Divus Augustus, Divus Claudius and diva Augusta (livia) at a later time to his death and after the Senate decreed his deification.
Recent studies on Roman sculptures Torreparedones highlight the archaeological value thereof. Some of the sculptures have undergone a data record laser scanner, also some of them have been the subject of a study of original polychrome whose results will be incorporated scientific and informative way in the application. The application is designed to integrate in the near future, new results of investigations being carried out.
Free virtual application called "Museum Baena Virtual" is available for mobile platforms and allows intuitive and easy to consult three dimensional models of the sculpture of Torreparedones, as well as access to a tour 360º Roma room of the Museum of Baena and different content multimedia. The main objective of this work is to promote the use of virtual reality in the field of heritage providing the visitor establish a direct connection between the museum and the archaeological site.
