The Treasure Hunt app is an augmented reality based software for the Researchers ’Night event held at PEN 2018 and the 3D model display only works properly under the conditions there.
Within the application, there are 12 different patterns (markers) with mosaic words related to PEN, on which 12 different animal models appear as we scan our camera.
These animal models are divided into 4 groups (Sweethearts, Wildlife, Imaginary Creatures, Aquatic Creatures). Each group contains 3-3 animal models.
The 12 samples we printed were hidden scattered inside the university building. Each team gets 1-1 target animal groups out of four and 3 models of this target animal group need to be found.
The point is that when the animal model that pops up by the camera appears, a caption will also appear below the model. This is a synonym for the caption, or a word structure that makes it easier to guess the name of the displayed animal (eg caption: eb, solution: dog; caption: Mekk Elek is also such an animal, solution: goat).
Once the name of the animal has been guessed, it should be written on the map received at the station, even so that the solution should be written where the pattern is located in the building.
The task goes on time if the team does not return with the solutions within 15 minutes, in which case the team will receive 0 points.
