This work composed of 7 Polaroids was created during an artistic residency in Vouzela, with the aim of representing the time and memories of that village. I used augmented reality so that the spectator could interact with the polaroids that I took during a day in Vouzela and I attributed to them previously captured sounds, which belong to the digital archive of the cultural association Binaural Nodar.
These sounds add a new dimension to the photograph, invoking something that is not there but is part of the memory of the place. For example, the sound of animals that have passed through that space, paths that were forest and became bike paths or even the sound of the procession of the earth.
This reflection on time, what we see in the present but a sound that belongs to the past, makes us think nostalgically about our daily lives but also our culture.
