The Argentine First Division is the main competition between football clubs in that country. Between the 1990/1991 and 2011/2012 seasons, the championship was divided into two tournaments per season, the Opening Tournament, played in the first part of the year, and the Clausura Tournament, played in the second half, and the champion of each these tournaments he was considered Argentine champion, that is, two champions per season.
