NeoPetra is one of the 20 teams participating in Solar Decathlon Africa, a 100% Moroccan team headed by the Confederation of Junior-Moroccan Enterprises (CJEM) and with 3 major Moroccan schools represented by its members: the EMINES School of Industrial Management of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, the Hassania School of Public Works (EHTP) and the Casablanca School of Architecture (EAC). An All-star team, which is in terms of specialties and areas of expertise that makes the NeoPetra team a complete team, able to be meticulous and perfectionist in every aspect of its ambitious project.
NeoPetra aims to design, build and operate a sustainable and cost effective energy-efficient, with a focus on environmental conservation and climate considerations. It is promising a unique life experience using innovative and eco-friendly technologies to be the model of Solar-based houses in Morocco. The futuristic building has a new design that reflects the traditional African house and meets the modern lifestyle. Rediscovering a new dimension of the concept of living in a small, comfortable home while using locally available materials that achieves environmental goals through rational resource consumption naming wood, adobe and rope.
