This application is designed to allow you to share your exact location with someone in an emergency situation. FindME uses a customizable position marker, which pinpoints your accurate position using a combination of GPS, WIFI, and your network provider. This position can be instantly shared with an emergency contacts list. They will receive your location converted into a google maps link, which will guide them to your exact location.
The function of the app, has been designed to make it as easy as possible to share your location, meaning that within 3 clicks you can pass your exact location to your chosen contact/s. The idea of this is to make it as simple and quick as possible, which is often the criteria when it is an emergency situation. For example an elderly person, who has had a fall might want to inform their care provider that they need help. If they have this app, they can do this within a few easy clicks without needing to dig through levels of menu items.
The app can also be used to create custom locations for things. For example, you can send a "FindME" while standing next to your car in a car park. You can then head off shopping, or venture off into unfamilliar surroundings and follow the link you created back to your car.
You don't even need to be standing at the place you want to create the location for. The app allows you to drag and drop the marker, and create a location link for that place. This means that if you know where you want to meet someone in the future, you can drag and drop the marker at that location and send it to them. Great for meeting clients unfamilliar with your chosen location.
The app can be used socially, to share your location with friends meeting you at an event or theme park for example.
Finally the app also allows you to convert your location into a QR code as well as a clickable link. You can then share this QR code via email.
This provides a potential marketing tool, if for example you want to print posters or flyers for your business and you need a QR code that will direct customers to your new offices. Simply drop the marker on your office location and hit the QR button.
