The attention to small communities, plains and their specificities has always been constant on the part of the Municipality of Casteggio as one of the most populous municipalities in the Oltrepò Pavese. Constant listening to the territory, to then give concrete answers and follow the projects in agreement with the administrations and communities.
The success that these investments have also had in terms of public, has led the municipality of Casteggio to decide to continue on what has been started by the individual local administrations, and to think of implementing a network system valid for all the municipalities of the surrounding area. Of course, the logical consequence of this project is to implement something that is common to all the municipalities in the area and to be able to promote everything in an organic way and above all in the network. It is therefore a question of continuing on the path traced by the various administrations autonomously and of replicating the best practices of the municipalities that have achieved remarkable results, but this time moving in a unitary way.
The objectives of the app can therefore be summarized as follows:
• To create a network that uses technological and innovative means in accordance with the taste of the new generations and what new tourists expect.
• Increase the knowledge of the territory in visitors, involving them in reflections on the conservation of the heritage, its enhancement, the dissemination of knowledge learned and experiences.
• Involve young people especially the adolescent age group which in all activities shows little attention to the world of culture. To bring families together through the children by sharing experiences
• Enhance knowledge of the territory. Not only for the municipalities involved in the intervention and to raise awareness of all the attractiveness of Oltrepò Pavese.
• To develop in the municipal administrations a sense of belonging to a coordinated and organized network for the purpose of a unitary growth.
• significantly increase the tourist attendance of the rural and cultural attractions of Oltrepò Pavese;
• generate forms of collaboration and interactions between the various cultural administrations of the system by connecting the territorial and cultural reality with each other.
The app will allow tourists to download a variety of audio, video and information content on the territories of the Oltrepò Pavese municipalities, especially related to naturalistic, rural, cultural and food and wine tourist routes. The app has supporting content in Italian and English to illustrate the most significant features of each route and each territory. The development of the content uploaded to the app creates a "sensory and emotional journey" to support territorial tourist information, accompanying the user through photographs and in-depth texts of the most significant places, giving general information and practical information.
The app has these basic features:
• List of tourist routes and municipalities belonging to the network with a dedicated card for each one.
• Card of the single municipal area containing basic tourist information, presentation text, introductory video.
• News section: each municipality inserts news containing text, photos or videos. The user can filter the news according to the municipality that published them.
The app was then filled with special videos made for each individual municipal area of the network.
The videos listed above were made in 16: 9 format with development in HD format, with dedicated soundtrack and short descriptive texts in Italian and English, with professional recordings.
