Meet "the Pharms", they walk among us! Using the augmented reality capability of your smartphone, you'll place a menagerie quirky characters representing actual medications into the real world. Flashcards have never felt so alive.
Designed by a pharmacology professor as a study tool for his undergraduate & graduate/professional students looking for new ways to help make the meds they're studying feel more "real". If you're struggling to keep track of all the meds you're learning, if the information is just not sticking, or you're just getting bored with your current study approach... try making a game out of it! This app is intended to do just that. Also, for some, the use of metaphor and anthropomorphizing the meds really helps. Use your imagination and create connections between the meds and these characters.
Test your knowledge & recall of essential drug facts (e.g., generic & trade names, pharmacological classes, mechanisms of action, therapeutic uses, and major side effects). This is a starter pack of over 70 of the most commonly prescribed drugs in the US. You can look at them all at once or by organ system of clinical use. Each Pharm character comes with its own flashcard of drug information, which you can show & hide as you're expanding your memorization. (Oh, and when you're done, you get to blast them off the screen.)
It's an engaging study tool and fun approach to learning your meds. Suitable for medical, nursing, & pharmacy students taking their first pharm course.
