We combine the flashcard learning function (based on Anki's algorithm) with Oma Suomi 1 book. Users can practice pronunciation, combined with learning vocabulary and listening to sample audio (generated by AI). At the moment, we have flashcard for the Finnish 1 course (Oma Suomi 1 chapter 1-5), Finnish 2 (chapter 6-9) and is designing flashcard for Finnish 3 (chapter 10-13).
Our main target is beginner Finnish language learners who want to practice pronunciation. The AI model listens to your pronunciation and can give feedback on how close your pronunciation compared with native Finnish speakers. The app also contains samples and instructions (text, photos, videos) to help you make the correct pronunciation.
The app was funded by the Kielibuusti project.
