History comes to life again in the LWL Museum of Archeology in Herne! With an augmented reality installation you can bring the "ghosts of the past" to life and watch them doing their work. You get to know a peasant woman grinding grain or the Prince of Beckum who is polishing his sword. "Selfies with the ghosts" are also possible as souvenirs.
In our permanent exhibition you move on a footbridge through an artificial excavation landscape. You can look at archaeological finds from human history that were hidden deep under the surface - from the oldest stone utensils of the Neanderthals to drinking and eating utensils from Roman times to the rubble of the Second World War. With all your senses you will learn interesting facts from 280,000 years of the past.
