About Créatures de Cristal

"Crystal Creatures" is a deck of 36 cards made up of 4 different creatures: the orange-yellow eagle with a value of 3, the blue siren with a value of 4, the green troll with a value of 5 and the red dragon with a value of 6. As well as four crystals of different colors (the same 4 colors as those of the creatures).

The value of a creature indicates the number of these creatures in the game as well as the number of associated crystals. So, for example, the blue mermaid has a value of 4. This indicates that there are 4 blue mermaids in the game as well as 4 blue crystals.

When launching the game, the computer will distribute the cards, 18 to the player and 18 to himself. Among the cards received by the player, 9 will be face down.
The player starts the game. To do this, he just has to touch the card he wants to play. It is then placed in the center. The computer in turn plays one of its cards which it places in the center. Then the player chooses a second card. The computer does the same.
The idea is to form valid creature-crystal pairs in order to capture the trick and the points on it.
A valid couple is a combination of two cards: A creature and a crystal of the same color.
There are therefore 4 possible valid pairs:
->Eagle + Orange-yellow Crystal
->Siren + Blue crystal
->Troll + Green crystal
->Dragon + Red Crystal
The invalid pairs are therefore:
-A creature and a crystal not associated with it (different color)
-Two creatures
-Two crystals

Depending on the 4 cards played by the player and the computer, four scenarios are possible:
-1- Two invalid couples: In this case, the played cards go to the trash. They are removed from the game. If there are points in the cauldron, they are lost (see below).
-2- Only one valid couple: In this case, the player or the computer who played the valid couple picks up the cards and places them aside. If the cauldron is full then the cauldron is won as well (see below).
-3- Two different valid pairs: In this case, the player who played the pair with the creature of lower value picks up the cards and sets them aside. If the cauldron is full then the cauldron is won as well (see below).
-4- Two identical valid pairs: In this case, the cards played, actually their points, are put aside in what is called the cauldron.

You will notice that it is the lower values that pick up but it is the higher values that pay off.

As soon as all the cards have been played, the computer counts the points for the round.
The points are the sum of the values of the creatures picked up during the game.
Note that whoever picks up the last trick (if there is one) earns 6 more points.
The one with the most points subtracts the points from the one with the least. This result is added to his score.
In the event of a tie, the player and the computer earn 12 points each.
The winner is the one who reaches a score of 112 points.
In the event of a score of 112 points or more and a tie, an extra round is played.

The game gives the possibility to modify certain parameters:
