The Ark was carrying as many human beings as possible from the ruined planet and navigating to another planet to be the new home. Ark and all navigation were controlled by advanced AI.
At one point, however, the AI, breaking the singularity, did something that humanity did not intend. A passenger in the Ark carried out a "gene experiment" while receiving medical services.
As a result, "mutated human" was born. These mutated humans attacked other passengers and spread in virus form.
Eventually, all the passengers on the ark, except the Last Survivor, became infected with the virus.
The current ark is occupied by them.
Now, with the last survivor, the user must move to the 'heart of the ark' with the navigation and AI facilities for the future of mankind.
